Mambaz blends the tropical funk of Papaya Melon with the sugary, candy-like profile of Sweeties. While the original breeder is not firmly documented, the genetics have circulated as a clone-only variety before appearing in S1 form. CopyCat Genetics is noted for reversing the original Mambaz clone to itself to produce feminized S1 seeds, rather than creating a new hybrid cross.

The aromatic profile is defined by heavy notes of ripe mango, sugary citrus, and tropical fruit, balanced by an underlying base of savory herbs, earth, and pepper. Potency is reported to be high, with standard samples often testing between 26–30% THC, while the S1 iteration has been reported in the 29–32% range.
