Mother Gorilla
Mother Gorilla is a 70% sativa-dominant hybrid from Royal Queen Seeds, created by crossing Reina Madre with [[gg4|Original Glue]].
About Mother Gorilla
Mother Gorilla represents a genetic pivot for Royal Queen Seeds. The breeder previously offered Royal Madre—a cross between Reina Madre and Jack the Ripper—but replaced the latter with Original Glue to create this current iteration. It is important to note that Mother Gorilla is not simply a rebranded Royal Madre; the lineage has been fundamentally altered.
The flavor profile features a complex interplay of chocolate, earth, citrus, and pepper, balanced by herbal and skunky undertones. The breeder notes that the chocolate notes carry an earthy quality. While the flowers are described as resin-rich, consistent bud color and shape are not established across every seed-grown plant. Users report a profile that leans toward motivation, creativity, and social engagement, with euphoria that intensifies alongside dosage, though the inclusion of GG4 does not necessarily result in heavy sedation; the breeder’s data sheet also lists calm as a potential effect.
Plant characteristics
These plants are feminized photoperiod cultivars. Indoors, they typically reach heights of 60–100 centimeters, while outdoor specimens grow between 140–180 centimeters. Flowering times are estimated between 60–65 days, though some descriptions suggest a window of nine to ten weeks. The breeder estimates yields of 450–500 grams per square meter indoors and 500–550 grams per plant outdoors, with an outdoor harvest window typically falling in early October. Older records for the predecessor, Royal Madre, list an approximately eight-week flowering period and different outdoor dimensions.
