The iteration originally bred by the Illinois-based cultivator Grassroots is a cross between Birthday Cake—a descendant of Girl Scout Cookies—and Motorbreath, which is an offspring of Chemdawg. This version is noted for its potent diesel aroma inherited from its lineage. A separate variety of Motor Cake is attributed to Jungle Boys, who reportedly bred their version using Motorbreath and Jungle Cake, the latter being a descendant of Wedding Cake. Users typically report that the strain provides a reliable relaxing effect, often describing it as effective for quieting racing thoughts and easing physical tension.
