Purple Banana

Purple Banana represents a shared pursuit among breeders rather than a single, unified lineage. The name is applied to several distinct interpretations, each balancing tropical fruit notes with earthy or floral undertones.

NorStar Genetics produced a version by crossing Banana OG with Las Vegas Purple Kush. This iteration is characterized by a creamy banana fuel aroma that transitions into earthy plum and berry notes. Users report a smooth onset that maintains mental clarity while gradually inducing physical relaxation.

Another interpretation, known as Las Vegas Purple Banana, was selected by People Under the Stairs. While utilizing similar genetics—specifically a reversed pairing of Las Vegas Purple Kush and Banana OG—this version is noted for brighter, tropical spice aromatics with hints of lavender. The experience is often described as social and lucid, eventually settling into a reflective, weighted comfort.

A third, mystery cut of Purple Banana exists, which leans heavily into decadence. This version is reported to feature notes of ripe banana cream and grape candy, with effects that align with traditional indica profiles, including hazy thoughts and significant physical sedation.

Across these variations, the strain is recognized for dense, trichome-heavy buds that display streaks of violet and gold. Reported effects generally include a softening of thoughts, slowed physical movement, and a tendency to stimulate the appetite.
