Rainbow Pie
Rainbow Pie, also known as Rainbow Lava, is an indica-dominant hybrid name shared by two distinct genetic lineages, both characterized by complex, dessert-forward flavor profiles and vibrant, multi-colored buds.
About Rainbow Pie
There are two distinct origins of Rainbow Pie, both drawing from 'Pie' lineage genetics. The first version was selected by the California-based breeder GreenFire Genetics. This indica-dominant hybrid is a cross between Grand Blueberry Pie and Zkittlez. It is noted for an aromatic profile reminiscent of fresh blueberry pie, featuring notes of yeasty dough, nuttiness, and occasional earthy undertones. On the palate, it offers a creamy blueberry flavor complemented by floral and nutty accents.
The second iteration of Rainbow Pie originates from Zephyr Seeds. This mostly indica hybrid is a cross between Georgie Pie and Rainbow Beltz. Its aromatic profile leans toward fruity candy and cream, with subtle hints of diesel. The flavor follows a similar trajectory, emphasizing candy-like sweetness and creaminess with a faint diesel finish.
Plant characteristics
The GreenFire Genetics selection produces buds displaying a full spectrum of color, including neon green and purple foliage, bright orange pistils, and a dense coating of bluish-white trichomes. The Zephyr Seeds selection also features a mix of green and purple hues, characterized by a thick layer of resinous trichomes.
