Rambutan
Rambutan is a fruit-forward hybrid known for its complex, tropical terpene profile and a sociable, uplifting effect that requires careful pacing.
About Rambutan
Rambutan is a name shared by two distinct breeding projects, both characterized by intense, fruit-heavy aromatic profiles. The first iteration was selected by 517 Legend Seed Company, which crossed Fruit Slices with Maui Wowie 1978. A second, separate variety was created by Bloom Seed Co. using a cross of Papaya and Guavaz 74, released exclusively as feminized seeds.
The strain is noted for a pungent, complex bouquet that mimics overripe tropical fruits. Users often report notes of papaya and mango, balanced by the sweetness of fresh berries and a sharp, tart cherry finish. Beyond its flavor, Rambutan is frequently described as a social and creative strain, often associated with lighthearted, conversational settings. Despite its pleasant, candy-like profile, the plant is reported to be quite potent; consumers are advised to approach it with caution, as the sativa-leaning effects can be surprisingly intense even for experienced users.
