Sunny D
Sunny D is a citrus-forward hybrid recognized for its bright, lemon-heavy terpene profile and reported energizing effects.
About Sunny D
The origins of Sunny D are subject to conflicting accounts. Some sources suggest the strain is a descendant of Tangie, characterized by strong citrus aromas and a distinct lemony flavor. Conversely, Dark Horse Genetics is credited with creating a version of Sunny D by crossing Orange Dot and Joe’s Lemonade. This specific selection is noted for a more pronounced lemon terpene profile compared to other iterations. Users typically report a bright, energizing experience that may assist with focus and tension relief, aligning with its reputation as a daytime-oriented strain.
Plant characteristics
Sunny D typically reaches a tall stature, developing thick branches that support dense clusters of flowers. The flowering period lasts approximately 70 days, and the weight of the mature buds may necessitate additional structural support toward the end of the cycle.
