Velvet Hammer
Velvet Hammer is an indica-leaning hybrid from the Great Northern Seed Company, recognized for its potent cerebral effects and heavy resin production.
About Velvet Hammer
Bred by the Great Northern Seed Company by crossing GG4 and Magnum Opus, Velvet Hammer is an indica-leaning hybrid known for its strength and relatively gentle onset. Users report an initial burst of euphoria and creative energy, which eventually transitions into a powerful cerebral high that may lead to couchlock or sedation. The flavor profile is smooth and fruity, accompanied by an aroma of sweet citrus and earthy berry.
There is ambiguity regarding the name, as it should not be confused with a separate offering from the Portland, Maine-based brand GELE. That product, which the brand teasingly describes as a "velvet hammer," is a cross of unique GG4 and Magnum Opus selections. Additionally, the name has been associated with obscure growers and rumors of a legacy strain with unrelated genetic origins.
Plant characteristics
The buds feature vibrant green foliage and bright orange pistils, covered in a heavy layer of trichomes that gives them a velvety, snow-like appearance.
