Jilly Bean
Jilly Bean is a hybrid strain recognized for its candy-citrus flavor profile and uplifting, euphoric effects, originally created by TGA Genetics.
About Jilly Bean
Jilly Bean was created and bred indoors at the West Coast seed bank TGA Genetics by co-founders Subcool and MzJill. The strain originated from a cross between a female Orange Velvet clone—acquired around 2006 and previously referred to as “Melvin”—and a male Space Queen, which utilized the last remaining seeds of its kind at the time. Named after MzJill, the strain is noted for a scent profile dominated by limonene and pinene, resulting in a tropical jelly bean flavor.
Following the dissolution of TGA Genetics, the strain is now maintained by the Oregon-based MzJill Genetics. The version currently offered by MzJill is an open-pollinated F2 hybrid. The strain gained significant recognition upon its release, appearing on High Times’ Top Ten Strains list in 2007, winning the magazine’s Best Sativa award in 2014, and taking first place at the Adam Dunn Show Invitational. MzJill Genetics is currently developing various phenotypes, including feminized and CBD-rich varieties. Users report that the strain provides energetic euphoria, creativity, and arousal, accompanied by giggly, uplifting effects.
