Scott's OG

hybrid

Scott’s OG is a potent hybrid created by Colorado-based Rare Dankness, known for its high THC content and its widespread use as foundational breeding stock.

About Scott's OG

Created by the Colorado seed bank Rare Dankness between 2010 and 2011, Scott’s OG is a hybrid strain with a notable lineage. While often mistaken as a namesake for Rare Dankness founder Scott Reach, the strain is actually named in honor of the legendary breeder Scott Blakey, widely known as Shantibaba. Reach developed the strain by crossing a female Triangle Kush—acquired during his time with the Devil’s Harvest Krew—with pollen from a Rare Dankness #1 male. The Triangle Kush parentage is attributed to genetics that were frequently circulated among trusted growers during the early days of the industry's expansion. The strain is recognized for its high potency, with Reach reporting that it frequently tests above 25% THC, leading to its adoption by numerous seed companies for developing new hybrids.

Plant characteristics

The plants have a flowering time of 50 to 65 days. They produce dense, highly resinous buds that are reported to be easy to trim and emit a pungent aroma characterized by notes of lemon and kush.
