Silver Calyx
Silver Calyx is a hybrid from Calyx Garden, created by crossing [[grape-calyx|Grape Calyx]] with a [[gg4|GG4]] seed. It is characterized by heavy trichome production and a balanced, versatile effect profile.
About Silver Calyx
Silver Calyx originated from Calyx Garden through an unexpected pairing of Grape Calyx and a GG4 seed. The lineage of Grape Calyx is complex, incorporating genetics from Durban Poison, Master Kush, SFV OG, Platinum GSC, and Purple Pineapple. This is combined with the established background of GG4, which includes Chem, Sour, and Diesel roots.
### Aroma and Flavor The terpene profile is characterized by caryophyllene, myrcene, and limonene, resulting in a base of spice and earth accented by berry sweetness and citrus. Aromatically, the strain leans toward the pungent earth and skunk associated with GG4, punctuated by notes of fruit. On the palate, it offers sharp citrus and berry flavors, concluding with a cookie-like finish.
### Reported Effects Users report a versatile, clear-headed high that balances focus and relaxation. The experience is described as hitting a midpoint that is energizing enough for activity yet relaxed enough for winding down, without inducing edge or drag.
Plant characteristics
The buds are heavily coated in trichomes, which gives them a sparkling, silver appearance.
