Strawberry Shortcake
Strawberry Shortcake is a name shared by several distinct hybrid lineages, each offering a different flavor profile and effect set depending on the breeder.
About Strawberry Shortcake
The name Strawberry Shortcake is applied to at least three genetically distinct strains, making the breeder's identity essential for understanding the specific experience.
Dark Horse Genetics selected a sativa-leaning version by crossing the J3 cut of Juliet with Strawberry Diesel. This iteration is characterized by a blend of strawberry sweetness and sharp fuel notes, with published specifications placing THC between 18% and 22%. Users often describe this version as providing creative and sociable energy.
A second, indica-leaning version is associated with Jungle Boys, pairing White Wookie with The White. While the original breeder attribution is less certain, it is known for a flavor profile of creamy berries, pastry-like sweetness, and earthy gas. This selection is frequently noted for its potential to induce physical relaxation and eventual sleepiness.
A third pedigree comes from Lost River Seeds, which crossed Strawberry Cough with Plushberry. This version is distinct from the other two, though detailed flavor profiles and potency data for this specific release remain limited.
Plant characteristics
The version associated with the White Wookie × The White cross is noted for producing dense, heavily frosted flowers. The Lost River Seeds release is reported to exhibit approximately 25% stretch during its flowering phase.
