About Wintergreen Og

Wintergreen OG refers to at least two separate breeding projects that share a name but differ significantly in their genetic makeup. The version created by SnowHigh Seeds, also sold as Winter Green, is a cross of Tahoe Snow #5 and OG Purple Fire Thai. The Tahoe Snow parentage incorporates Tahoe OG and True Gangster Kush, while the OG Purple Fire Thai side draws from NorCal Fire OG, Purple Thai, and Neville’s Haze F3. While SnowHigh lists this version as indica-dominant, some later descriptions have labeled it as sativa-heavy.

A second, distinct iteration associated with Wyeast Farms is reported in grower accounts as a cross of (SFV OG × Triangle Kush) × The Menthol. This pedigree is less firmly documented than the SnowHigh line, but represents a materially different cross; the shared name does not imply a shared family tree.

Regarding the SnowHigh version, the aromatic profile is defined by dank fuel, sharp lemon-cleaner notes, and pine, with some plants expressing secondary notes of cardamom, toasted caramel, or menthol-like herbs. The sweet notes sit beneath the evergreen character. Reported experiences include euphoria and physical relaxation, sometimes with a spacey or hunger-inducing turn. SnowHigh describes a quick head-and-body effect, noting that the chilly name does not imply a lightweight session. These reported effects should not be assigned equally to both versions, as they are not consistently attributed to a specific breeder.

Plant characteristics

Plants from the SnowHigh Seeds line are described as medium-to-tall with significant branching and vigor. They are noted for high resin production, resulting in a frosty appearance on the flowers. Flowering times for this version typically range from 8 to 10 weeks or longer, with moderate-to-large yield potential. Because these are regular seeds, the population can exhibit variation in flower shape and color, and will produce both male and female plants.
