THE DISPENSE STRAIN GUIDE

Zyrup

hybrid

Zyrup is a name shared by two distinct hybrid strains with different genetic lineages, both of which incorporate [[zkittlez|Zkittlez]] as a common ancestor.

About Zyrup

The name Zyrup is applied to two unrelated cultivars, leading to potential confusion regarding the expected flavor profile and effects.

One version is attributed to the Michigan-based cultivator Growing Pains. This iteration is a cross of Gelato and Zkittlez, with an undisclosed third parent. It is characterized by a pungent, gassy fuel aroma that transitions into creamy fruit notes. The flavor is often described as a blend of bubblegum and diesel. Reported effects include an initial wave of euphoria and lightheadedness that transitions into heavy, full-body relaxation and eventual sedation.

The second version was bred by Serge Cannabis. This lineage crosses Zkittlez with a (Sherb x Zkittlez Bx2) hybrid. This version leans more toward a creamy, sherbet-like profile. This specific lineage is also the parent of the cultivar known as Zyrup OG (a cross of Church OG and this version of Zyrup).

Because these two strains share only the Zkittlez parentage, consumers are encouraged to verify the producer to determine which genetic profile they are encountering.

Plant characteristics

Zyrup plants typically reach a height of 3–4 feet when grown indoors and 5–6 feet in outdoor environments. The strain produces dense bud structures, which require careful humidity management (ideally 40–50%) and consistent airflow during the flowering stage to mitigate the risk of mold. The flowering period lasts approximately 8–9 weeks, with reported yields of 400–500 g/m² indoors or 14–18 oz per plant outdoors.
