Doppelganger
Doppelgänger is a retired indica-dominant hybrid from Fig Farms, recognized for its complex, shifting aromatic profile that transitions from pungent, ammonia-like funk to tropical fruit sweetness.
About Doppelganger
Doppelgänger (or Doppelganger) originated from a pheno-hunt of Purple Fig F2s conducted by California cultivator Fig Farms. The lineage of these F2s is notably intricate, involving a cross of Romulan, Snow Leopard, and a #11 selection. Snow Leopard is a multi-generational hybrid derived from Chemdawg, Uzbekistan Hash Plant, Afgoo, and Blockhead, while the #11 selection is a cross of Green Crack and Haze.
During the initial hunt, growers identified a phenotype characterized by a distinct, pungent aroma described as "stale urine." Due to a labeling error, the original cut was lost. Years later, the team identified a cultivar that appeared to be a match. This iteration, named Doppelgänger, exhibits a unique aromatic evolution: it begins with a sharp, ammonia-like funk before transitioning into notes of pineapple and sugary gummy bears as it nears the end of its growing cycle.
