Lambo OG
Lambo OG, also known as Rambo, refers to two distinct genetic lines: a hardy, outdoor-focused hybrid from T.H. Seeds and a resinous, breeder-focused hybrid from Tarantula Genetics.
About Lambo OG
The name Lambo OG (or Rambo) encompasses two separate breeding projects with distinct objectives. The first, developed by T.H. Seeds in Amsterdam during the 1990s, is a composite of Jamaican Haze, Jamaican Purple, and Super Afghan. Originally released as Rambo, it was later rebranded to Lambo or Lambo OG to resolve market confusion. This version was engineered for guerrilla cultivation, prioritizing fast flowering times, mold resistance, and pest hardiness. Its terpene profile is characterized by myrcene, caryophyllene, and ocimene, offering a complex aroma of earthy pine, damp soil, and tropical citrus, with flavor notes of amaretto, vanilla, and metallic lime. Users report a balanced, all-day effect that begins with a cerebral lift before transitioning into a gentle physical calm.
The second iteration, created by Michigan breeder Tarantula Trav of Tarantula Genetics, is a cross of Grape Stomper (a cross of Purple Elephant and Chemdog Sour Diesel) and Permafrost (a cross of Trainwreck and White Widow). This version serves as a breeder's tool, noted for its resin production and stability. Its terpene profile—dominated by myrcene, caryophyllene, and limonene—blends grape-candy sweetness with pine and herbal funk. Reported effects are more indica-leaning, providing a functional, steady calm that can become sedating in higher doses. This cut is primarily recognized in Michigan breeding circles and serves as the foundation for the Platinum Rambo line.
Plant characteristics
Lambo OG is a vigorous, mostly sativa hybrid that grows into tall plants. It is noted for its resistance to pests and environmental stressors. The plant flowers in 50 to 55 days indoors or by late September when grown outdoors. At maturity, it produces average-sized yields of lime green buds, characterized by spindling orange hairs and a dense coating of trichomes.
